Moving to a turn-based system worked for the Fairy Tail game, so I believe this new system is going to be a great time as well. Plus, we are getting to revisit one of the best pre-time skip arcs with Alabasta and Princess Vivi. One Piece Odyssey looks to be the Straw Hats’ best adventure yet. I’m a huge One Piece fan and have been into the series for a few years now. Noah Rigsby – I think it’s best to start with a bit of context. ILCA, the developers behind the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes, is trying something here and while it still looks a bit C-tier, it might play like an A-tier. There will be more room to develop and enjoy the characters as a group, and it has the standard turn-based mechanics JRPG’s tend to lean on. Switching the video game adaptation from action game to JRPG might be the most influential move. From what I’ve seen, One Piece Odyssey looks like it will be a good One Piece game and video game.
